VAN WERT, Ohio - A Convoy, Ohio, man has been sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to attend anger management classes and undergo counseling for using a saw blade last year to discipline his 3-year-old son.

Mark Dealey, 36, pleaded guilty in November to endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor, for the April incident. He was sentenced by Van Wert Common Pleas Judge Charles D. Steele.

Mr. Dealey scratched his son's chest, back, arms, and legs with the detached blade of a power saw. Authorities said it was his form of correcting the child.
