BOWLING GREEN — A local man pleaded not guilty in Wood County Common Pleas Court yesterday to charges of felonious assault and attempted murder for stabbing a friend numerous times last month.
Amos Abbe, 18, appeared before Judge Alan Mayberry, who ordered that Mr. Abbe remained in the Wood County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond. A pretrial hearing was set for May 20, with a three-day jury trial scheduled to begin June 9.
Bowling Green police said Mr. Abbe allegedly stabbed Brian Lilly, 19, of North Olmsted, Ohio, in an argument over a woman.
Mr. Lilly was hospitalized after the attack.
Police discovered the assault after an injured Mr. Lilly wandered into a local restaurant just before 3 a.m. March 30.
