Custar man gets prison for gas station robbery

BOWLING GREEN — A Custar, Ohio, man who pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery will serve 10 years in prison.

Eric Wilhelm, 23, was sentenced in Wood County Common Pleas Court to seven years in prison for armed robbery with another three years to be served consecutively for a weapons specification. According to court records, Wilhelm pleaded guilty Feb. 28 to one count of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.

Wilhelm was charged with robbing a Shell gas station in Perrysburg and Barney's North in Bowling Green on Aug. 23. In both cases, the robber showed a gun and demanded money from employees, police said.
