A Toledo police officer suffered a broken ankle trying to break up a fight at Moody Manor family housing complex in the 2200 block of Kent Street late Saturday, authorities said.

Three adults and two juveniles were arrested.

Police responding to a call about 11:45 p.m. found about 60 people fighting. Kisha Page, 34, of 120 Page St. and two juveniles were arrested during the fracas.

The crowd grew to about 100, and some began throwing bottles and rocks as police tried to disperse the crowd and make arrests, authorities said.

Thomas Braswell, 30, of 161 East Woodruff Ave. was arrested after he allegedly intervened during the arrest of the one of juveniles and threatened officers, police said.

Officer Steven Harrison suffered a broken ankle in two places during that scuffle.

Officer Harrison was treated at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Officer Christopher McQueen was cut on his left elbow and suffered a bruise on his left shoulder in the fight with Mr. Braswell, police said.

Sgt. Roque Brown was hurt as well. Neither he nor Officer McQueen sought medical treatment, authorities said.

Mr. Braswell and Ms. Page remained in the Lucas County jail last night.

Police said they also arrested Damian Washington, of 161 East Woodruff on two outstanding traffic warrants and for felonious assault on a police officer.
