Walking tours of downtown resume tomorrow

Once again, the city of Toledo will have lunchtime walking tours of downtown.

Tours are free and open to the public Thursdays from tomorrow through Sept. 25 from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m., rain or shine.

The tours are sponsored by the University of Toledo Urban Affairs Center and the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library. Volunteers trained in local history and architecture will lead the tours.

The scheduled tours are:

w Tomorrow - Historic Trinity Episcopal Church, meet at Trinity Church at St. Clair and Adams streets.

w July 17 - Fort Industry Square, meet at the Jefferson Street entrance to the SeaGate Centre.

w July 24 - Madison Avenue Historical District, meet at Madison Avenue and Superior Street.

w July 31 - Heart of Valentine, meet at Adams and Superior streets.

w Aug. 7 - Hillcrest of the Club, meet at 1600 Madison Ave.

w Aug. 14 - the Oliver House, meet at the plaza entrance to the Maumee Bay Brewing Co. on Broadway.

w Aug. 21 - Library Square, meet at the Madison Avenue library entrance.

w Aug. 28 - The County Seat, meet at the McKinley Statue at the Courthouse on Adams Street.

w Sept. 4 - Adams Street Mystery Tour, meet at 17th and Adams streets at Manos Restaurant.

w Sept. 11 - St. Clair Red Light/Green Light, meet at St. Clair and Lafayette streets.

w Sept. 18 - Erie Street Market, meet at the Erie Street lobby entrance to the market.

w Sept. 25 - Play Ball, meet at Monroe and Huron streets near Fifth Third Field.
