S. Toledo being studied for low water pressure

8/13/2003

The city will try to figure out the causes for low water pressure in an area of South Toledo near Dorr Street and Holland-Sylvania Road, Councilman Rob Ludeman said yesterday.

Mr. Ludeman met with residents of a small neighborhood that has suffered low pressure. He said the city administration is testing water lines in the study area to find the cause of the low pressure, likely to include blocked or undersized lines.

The primary study area is located west of Holland-Sylvania. One longtime resident, Alvin Grant, of 6032 Judge Drive, said existing water lines were installed beginning in 1948 when the area was part of Adams Township, and are not adequate to serve the increased residential and business needs in the area.
