O-I to begin site work for Colorado factory

Owens-Illinois Inc. said yesterday it will begin site preparation this week for its new glass-container plant in Windsor, Colo., that is scheduled to open in early 2005.

O-I said it will plan a public groundbreaking for early next year for the 500,000-square-foot plant that will make 12-ounce beer bottles.
