Downtown Ramada becomes independent

2/10/2004

A downtown Toledo hotel that had been a Ramada Inn & Suites now is an independent and is called Hotel Seagate.

The owners of the 212-room hotel attached to the Seagate Convention Center, across the courtyard from the Radisson Hotel, said yesterday they ended operations of the hotel by Paramount Hospitality Management and ceased being a Ramada. The owners, SNP Investors LLP, which bought the 19-floor hotel in November, 2002, issued a statement about the change last evening, but no officials were available for comment

Scott Robinson, who has been with Wyndham International for the last six years, is the new operations manager, the statement said.
