10/5/2004

Joel Josefowicz pushes his son, Jakob, 1, at the new city park at Hillcrest Avenue and Willys Parkway. Officials of the city and DaimlerChrysler Corp. dedicated the former landfill and test track yesterday as Liberty Park. Frank Fountain, the corporation's senior vice president, said the DaimlerChrysler Corp. Foundation invested $250,000 in the 15.4-acre park, which also has an asphalt walking/biking path, benches, and a picnic pavilion. The Toledo City Parks Commission approved naming the park after the Jeep Liberty.
