Executive promoted at Hylant; VP joins Marco's

The Hylant Group, a Toledo insurance agency, has promoted James B. Allen to vice president and legal counsel from account executive, risk management.

Syl Sosowski has joined Marco's Pizza as vice president of marketing.

Michael J. Burns, chief operating officer and president of Dana Corp., has been elected to the board of trustees of Kettering University, Flint, Mich.

United Auto Workers Local 14 has re-elected Oscar Bunch to a 10th three-year term as president. Ray Wood was elected vice president, Patricia Henry recording secretary, and Bob Sykes was re-elected financial secretary/treasurer.

Mannik & Smith Group Inc., Maumee, is the recipient of the 2005 Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies for work on the remediation system of the Hardin County landfill in Kenton, Ohio.
