Dublin woman sues over fracas, injury at Bowling Green bar

4/6/2005

BOWLING GREEN - A Dublin, Ohio, woman who claimed she was hurt at a Bowling Green bar when two patrons fell on her leg filed suit Monday in Wood County Common Pleas Court against the bar and the unknown persons who fell on her.

Leslie Frederick said in her complaint she was at the Uptown Downtown bar on North Main Street on April 3, 2004, when a man and woman who were intoxicated "engaged in roughhousing that was dangerous not only to themselves but to others in the Uptown Downtown at the time." She claims the woman jumped into the air and onto the man, causing the two to fall on Ms. Frederick's right leg, causing her knee to shift to the left.

She is seeking at least $25,000 in damages from the couple and the bar, which she said didn't adequately protect its customers. The case has been assigned to Judge Alan Mayberry.
