Residents in two areas of Toledo lost electrical service for a time yesterday due to weather conditions.

Chuck Krueger, a Toledo Edison spokesman, said that sparking - most likely caused by wet weather - caused a power outage for about 800 customers in the Rushland Avenue and Berdan Avenue area. The outage lasted from about 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Another outage affected about 1,000 customers, including some businesses, in the area of Talmadge Road and Monroe Street, caused by wind gusts breaking the cross arm atop a utility pole. The power went out about 12:45 p.m., and was restored about 10 minutes later, Mr. Krueger said.
