BOWLING GREEN A West Carrollton, Ohio, man convicted of his sixth drunken driving charge was sentenced yesterday to five years in prison.

Jan E. Jones, 27, pleaded guilty in April to a felony-level driving-while-intoxicated charge.

Wood County Common Pleas Judge Alan Mayberry suspended his driver s license for life and ordered his vehicle to be forfeited.

According to court records, Jones was northbound on I-75 when he was stopped by a state trooper Feb. 19.

Judge Mayberry told Jones he was giving him the maximum sentence because he committed the worst form of the offense.

You were driving under the influence of alcohol, the judge said. You were taking drugs. You were driving 107 mph on a busy highway all while you were under suspension and on probation for another felony DUI.
