Fostoria man convicted in crack cocaine sale

TIFFIN A Fostoria man has been convicted of selling crack cocaine to an undercover police informant in 2002.

Gerry E. Morton, 28, was found guilty Friday by a jury in Seneca County Common Pleas Court of two counts of trafficking in crack cocaine, both fifth-degree felonies. According to county Prosecutor Ken Egbert, Jr., Morton sold nine-tenths of a gram of crack for $200 to the informant April 17, 2002, then offered to sell 0.6 of a gram for the same price nine days later. Both sales occurred in the 200 block of East Crocker Street.

Morton could be sentenced to as much as two years in prison.
