Tembec BTLSR Inc., 2112 Sylvan Ave., will pay a $15,540 fine to settle violations pertaining to risk-management planning and pollution prevention, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency said.

The company, which manufactures custom spray-dried powdered resins, was cited for failing to have an adequate plan to manage regulated chemicals. It also did not have an adequate plan for preventing accidental releases, the state agency said.

Eighty percent of its fine will be used to benefit the Ohio Environmental Education Fund and administer air pollution control programs. The remaining $3,108 will be paid to Ohio EPA's Clean Diesel School Bus Fund, the agency said.
