Ms. Moussaed, 27, is charged with murder in the death of Ms. Preston s 17-month-old daughter, Gracie Simmons, who died Thursday in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe, after police responded to the child s home and found her unresponsive.

    Ms. Moussaed is the live-in girlfriend of the child s father, Joseph Simmons. Ms. Moussaed is being held in the county jail after being denied bail by Judge Jack Vitale.
