Port Clinton chamber gives awards, elects 2006 officers

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce has presented the following awards: beautification, Mon Ami Restaurant & Winery; community service, Dan and Kim Sedlak; lighthouse, Barry Cover; outstanding new business, Najoya Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi; outstanding citizen, Bo Loeffler; and 2005 business member of the year, J. Bou-Sliman, Garden at the Lighthouse. In addition, the chamber elected Pat Atkins, Port Clinton City Schools, chairman; Tom Priesman, Neidecker, Leveck and Crosser Funeral Home, vice chairman; and Mike Long, Mcgruder Hospital, treasurer.

Valley Electric Inc., Fremont, is the recipient of the 2005 Safety Excellence award from the northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association.
