Rudolph/Libbe cited, fined in safety questions

5/6/2006

Walbridge construction firm Rudolph/Libbe Inc. has been cited and fi ned by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for potentially unsafe working conditions at its Bay View Park job site.

The two serious citations, with proposed fines of $10,000, stem from a February site

visit in which federal inspectors found inadequate safeguards in place to protect workers from a forklift operating nearby.

June Remley, a company spokesman, said the OSHA citation is being reviewed.

The firm has 15 working days to contest the finding. She added, What we can say right now is that we do feel we were in compliance with all OSHA regulations.
