NAPOLEON A 49-year-old Napoleon man accused of choking a woman and causing her to lose consciousness early Wednesday in her home on Napoleon s Michigan Avenue was ordered yesterday to prison for 2 years.

Steven Dachenhaus, who had been sentenced May 26 to four years probation for driving under the influence, admitted yesterday in Defiance County Common Pleas Court he had violated the limits imposed on him by that court. Judge Joseph Schmenk sentenced Dachenhaus both yesterday and last month.

Dachenhaus remained last night in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio near Stryker, where he was booked in Wednesday morning after Napoleon police charged him with attempted felonious assault and aggravated menacing. It is his 15th stay in the regional jail since 1991.

The woman who Dachenhaus is accused of choking was taken to Henry County Hospital by Napoleon Rescue, according to police, who did not release her name yesterday.
