A Springfield Township man was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury after police searched his apartment last month and found what they said were Drano bomb components and items taken in six recent area car break-ins.

Christopher Roberts, who is in his 20s, of 7250 Nightingale Lane, was indicted on one count of manufacturing or possessing explosives and six counts of receiving stolen property. He was not in custody last night.

During the search, officers found 15 plastic bottles, foil, and enough drain cleaner to make 15 Drano bombs. Also found were a stereo, a laptop computer, credit cards, and bank checks reported as stolen in six car break-ins in Lucas County, Toledo police Detective Danny Navarre said.

The search warrant was issued after a Drano bomb blew up April 11 in the 2400 block of Cheyenne Boulevard. The motive for the bombing was a feud between former friends, Detective Navarre said.
