Ohio's Controlling Board approved $250,000 in grants yesterday to aid an expansion of WC Wood Co. Inc. in Putnam County, a Canadian firm that says it will add 104 jobs at its 517,000-square-foot plant in Ottawa that will make upright freezers and refrigerators.

The grants, part of a larger government incentive package, include $150,000 toward roadway improvements and $100,000 to acquire machinery.

The board also released $238,000 for renovations at the Ohio Job and Family Services office in Lima.
