Toledo firm welcomed back to the NYSE

11/14/2006

It was a day of fun as the Pink Panther mascot and three top Owens Corning officials from left, Chief Executive David Brown, Chairman Michael Thaman, and chief legal officer Steve Krull rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange yesterday.

The event came less than two weeks after the Toledo firm emerged from a six-year Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Investors weren't thrilled, however, as the stock issued this month, trading under the symbol OC, finished down 22 cents at $28.27.

The panther and Mr. Brown share a buddies moment as they watch the stock activity on a monitor at the stock exchange.
