Killer still facing death despite life term in 1 case

LIMA, Ohio - A man sentenced to death in the killings of two girls will get a life sentence for one of the killings but will remain on death row.

Allen County Judge Jeffrey Reed ruled last week that Cleveland Jackson, Jr., must be sentenced to life in prison for the 2002 shooting death of 3-year-old Jala Grant.

The Ohio Supreme Court struck down the death sentence a year ago while upholding the death sentence in the shooting of 17-year-old Leneshia Williams.
