Holiday lighting contest entry deadline extended
12/2/2006The deadline to enter Toledo s contest for the best holiday lighting display has been extended a week, until Friday.
Amy Wood, the coordinator of the Twinkling Twelve contest, said Maumee Valley Growers, an umbrella organization of northwest Ohio greenhouses, has agreed to donate wreaths and poinsettias as prizes.
Judging will be Dec. 15.
Information is available on the city s Web site, www.ci.toledo.oh.us.
People can enter by e-mailing the city at holidaylighting@to-ledo.oh.gov, and including their name, address, and nearest cross street. Entry forms also are at library branches.
