Man freed from forklift at North Toledo packaging plant

Police and fire crews have extricated a man trapped by a forklift at a packaging plant in North Toledo.

Authorities were called to Summit Packaging at 3444 North Summit St. shortly before 4 p.m. for the extrication.

A medical helicopter was on the scene, but the victim was taken by stretcher to an ambulance. He was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
