Sentencing in assault set for ex-Waterville man

BOWLING GREEN A former Waterville man is to be sentenced June 4 for beating a Perrysburg man over the head with a pool cue.

William L. Zehnpfennig, 41, who lives in South Carolina, was convicted of felonious assault after a jury trial last week in Wood County Common Pleas Court. The jury deliberated about five hours Thursday evening and Friday before returning a guilty verdict.

Zehnpfennig assaulted Michael N. Poole during an argument at the Carriage Inn Bar in Perrysburg in October, 2005.
