ADRIAN - A 17-year-old Adrian boy was arraigned yesterday in Lenawee County District Court on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and carrying a weapon with unlawful intent stemming from the stabbing last week of a 16-year-old boy near the apartments where they both live, authorities said.

K.C. Michael McKenzie was being held in the Lenawee County jail in lieu of a $150,250 bond. He initially was booked into the jail Wednesday on charges of interfering with a police investigation and violation of probation for narcotics possession.

Young McKenzie is accused of stabbing Brian Tyler Russel with a knife during a fight April 28 near the Village Green apartments. The Russel youth was treated at Bixby Medical Center.
