A central Toledo man was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury yesterday for critically injuring a man Sept. 30 when he stabbed him in the back.

Laquian Woodson, Jr., 34, of 629 Nebraska Ave., was charged with two counts of felonious assault. He was held last night in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Lonnie Splan of central Toledo told police he was stabbed shortly after 11 p.m. in the area of Nebraska and Junction avenues during an altercation with another man.

Woodson was arrested early the next day in the 1500 block of Nebraska, about a block from the crime scene, police said.
