BOWLING GREEN With consent from the two victims families, Craig Daniels, Jr., today pleaded guilty to killing his former girlfriend, Alicia Castillon, and her boyfriend, John C. Mitchell, last March at Castillon s Bowling Green home.

Daniels, who had faced the death penalty if convicted of the aggravated murder charges, was then sentenced by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Castillon, 30, and Mitchell, 22, both were shot to death March 29 in her Parker Street home where her four children, at the time ranging in age from 9 months to 10, were at the time. They were not harmed.

Daniels, 34, had a history of stalking and assaulting Castillon, with whom he had two children. At the time of the murders, he was under indictment in Wood County for menacing by stalking and resisting arrest, but Judge Kelsey had released him from jail on a personal recognizance bond and ordered him to have no contact with Castillon.
