A central Toledo woman charged with five counts of dogfighting after police found several pit bulls at her home was arraigned yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Allison Gilmore, 27, of 1407 Belmont Ave., was released on her own recognizance, but Judge Ruth Ann Franks ordered twice weekly drug testing as a condition of her bond. A Nov. 26 trial date was set.

Ms. Gilmore was arrested Aug. 28 after police said they found her five children, ranging in age from 2 months to 9 years, alone with the pit bulls.

Six of the seven adult pit bulls showed signs of dogfighting. Evidence of dogfighting was found in the house, police said.
