A 20-year-old Curtice-area man was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury for the death of one of his passengers in a traffic crash July 3 at State Rt. 2 and Cousino Road in Jerusalem Township.

Sean Nolan was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of John Patrick, 37, of Ottawa County s Carroll Township. He was pronounced dead at the scene after he was thrown from Mr. Nolan s pickup as it rolled over several times and came to rest on top of him. Another passenger was hurt.

Mr. Nolan was driving east on Route 2 about 4:15 p.m. and improperly passed three vehicles before the pickup was hit by a car driven by Christine Schumaker, 53, of the Curtice area, who was turning north onto Cousino from Route 2.
