11/26/2007

A Toledo man is scheduled to be in Sylvania Municipal Court today after being accused of robbing the Huntington National Bank branch in Holland of an undisclosed amount of money.

Bryan Paul Veres, 25, of 5001 South Ave., Lot 159 is charged with robbery. He is being held in the Lucas County jail.

A man walked into the bank at 1311 South McCord Rd. Saturday morning and presented a teller a note demanding money and indicating that he had a weapon. None was seen.

Mr. Veres was arrested without incident at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at a motel on Holland-Sylvania Road, authorities said.

Dave Dustin, an FBI supervisor with the agency's Toledo office, credited good police work by the Holland police and the Lucas County Sheriff's Office for the quick apprehension.
