A central Toledo man accused of breaking into the home of a woman with whom he has two children and assaulting her was arraigned yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Tyrone Butler, 33, of 2368 Franklin Ave. was charged with aggravated burglary, domestic violence, assault, and violation of a protection order. He was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $52,500 bond.

Butler kicked in the back door of Heidi Rogers' home in West Toledo about 11:30 p.m. Monday and began choking her, police said. She grabbed a knife and stabbed Butler in the back.
