Counts added in child porn case

3/12/2008

Additional child pornography charges have been filed against a Bryan man arrested last month and accused of possessing child pornography.

Dale Allen Walls, 37, appeared in U.S. District Court in Toledo on Friday. He pleaded not guilty to one count of possessing child pornography, three counts of production of child pornography, and two counts of receiving and distributing child pornography.

According to the indictment filed in federal court March 5, he is accused of coercing "minor females" to "engage in sexually explicit conduct." The indictment states the images were produced May 8, 2004; July 25, 2004, and Feb. 10, 2006. The indictment accuses Mr. Walls of receiving and distributing child pornography between May, 2006, and February, 2008.

Authorities said he was trading illicit photos of girls under 15 engaged in sex acts with someone in Florida on the photo exchange service Google Hello.

Mr. Walls, the father of two girls ages 9 and 11, was arrested by federal agents Feb. 7 in Bryan. He is being held without bond in the Lucas County jail and faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
