Bond set for Toledo boss who shot employee

Bond was set at $250,000 during an arraignment Monday morning in Toledo Municipal Court for a man accused of shooting his employee in the neck during an altercation Friday, authorities said.

Wardell David Langston, 39, of 1006 Booth Ave., was charged with felonious assault and remains in the Lucas County jail.

Police received a call about 11:15 a.m. Friday of a person shot at 3929 Willys Pkwy. and found Jason Rabideau on the porch of the west Toledo house holding a sheet over his neck.

Mr. Rabideau was taken to Toledo Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

According to police, Mr. Langston drove to Mr. Rabideau s house and the two began arguing on the porch. Mr. Langston is accused of pulling out a handgun and shooting Mr. Rabideau once in the neck.

Mr. Rabideau has worked construction for Mr. Langston for three years, a report said.
