The case against a 53-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a woman Monday in an alley in North Toledo was bound over to a Lucas County grand jury yesterday during an arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court.

Solomon Copeland of 1011 Paxton St. was charged with murder and aggravated robbery.

He remains in the county jail in lieu of $550,000 bond.

He is accused of shooting Tammy Nelson, 42, of 2828 D St. Monday after an argument. Nelson was found about

6:25 p.m. in an alley at the rear of the 2900 block of A Street, south of Bronson Avenue, about three blocks from her home and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Police said it appears the shooting stemmed from an argument between Copeland and Nelson at the D Street address during which Copeland was cut.

He was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at 616 East Central Ave., police said.
