BOWLING GREEN The case of a Perrysburg man charged with murdering two men at a Perrysburg Township trucking company has been set for trial Oct. 14 in Wood County Common Pleas Court.

Calvin Neyland, Jr., 44, is charged with two counts of aggravated murder for the Aug. 8 deaths of Douglas Smith, 44, of Sylvania Township, and Thomas Lazar, 58, of Belle Vernon, Pa. The victims, who were about to fire Mr. Neyland, were shot to death at Liberty Trucking on Reuthinger Road.

Yesterday, Judge Robert Pollex scheduled a pretrial hearing for July 28 and set aside three weeks for the jury trial in October.
