FirstMerit adds vice president

Robert Ruhlin has been hired by FirstMerit Corp. as senior vice president of commercial banking for the Northwest Ohio - Toledo region.

National City Bank has hired Kirk Ross as assistant vice president and relationship manager for the bank's private client group in Toledo.

Greg White has been promoted by La-Z-Boy Inc., Monroe, to senior vice president of sales and merchandising in the residential division. Steve Matlock has been named vice president of retail development.
