WUPW weatherman is facing 3 charges

7/22/2008

Fox Toledo weatherman Mike Morrison entered not guilty pleas yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court on misdemeanor charges of public indecency, intoxication, and resisting arrest, court records show.

Mr. Morrison, 41, of 6015 Nebraska Ave., was arrested about 1:10 a.m. Sunday at Cousino's Navy Bistro, 30 Main St. in The Docks complex at International Park. He was booked into the Lucas County jail and later released.

According to police, several restaurant patrons saw a man urinating on a van owned by Sounds of Music, a disc-jockey company.

Police said the man, identified as Mr. Morrison, became verbally abusive when he was asked to stop and refused six times to provide police with identification, a report said.

Mr. Morrison is accused of wrestling with police and pushing officers against the van when they tried to arrest him. Pamela Dudas, 37, also of 6105 Nebraska, was charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and intoxication after she tried to keep officers from placing Mr. Morrison in handcuffs. She is free on bond from the county jail.

Mr. Morrison, who is chief meteorologist at WUPW-TV, Fox's Toledo affiliate, joined the station in 2006 after stints in Grand Junction, Colo., and Corpus Christi, Texas.
