The Toledo Community Organization has awarded $228,000 in grants to 10 Toledo-area nonprofit organizations.
The grants came from The Andersons Fund Supporting Organization. They are funded by The Andersons, the Maumee-based agribusiness firm, which targets capital projects for charitable groups.
Grant recipients are:
Anne Grady Corp., $5,000 for renovations to an infant day treatment room at the Prescribed Pediatric Center.
Cherry Street Mission Ministries, $25,000 for renovations to Caleb House.
East Toledo Family Center, $5,000 for improvements to security at the Heffner Early Childhood Center.
Friendly Center, $10,000 for a roof replacement.
Libbey House Foundation, $25,000 for renovations to make the building more accessible.
Mom s House of Toledo, $3,000 for an upgrade to the facility s heating and cooling system.
Sauder Village, $50,000 for the village s Pioneer Settlement project.
Sunshine Foundation, $50,000 for its vocational center.
Toledo Opera Association, $5,000 for a cargo van.
Toledo Zoological Society, $50,000, over two years, for capital projects.
