Man indicted after arrest in barricading incident

BOWLING GREEN A Fostoria man accused of breaking into into a Carrie Lane apartment last month and barricading himself inside was indicted this week by a Wood County grand jury.

Michael E. Braden, 42, was indicted for aggravated burglary and violation of a protection order.

Mr. Braden, who has been held in the Wood County jail since his arrest Aug. 15, is to be arraigned Friday by Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Alan Mayberry.

County sheriff s deputies were called to Sherry Moore s apartment about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 15. She told officers Mr. Braden had broken in and she and her 2-year-old daughter were hiding in a locked bedroom. She said she had a protection order against Mr. Braden, who is her daughter s father.

Deputies arrested Mr. Braden after he leaned out a window and they used a Taser to disable him.
