ADRIAN A Lenawee County 16-year-old will stand trial in November in the fatal poisoning of her grandmother.

Lenawee County Probate Judge Margaret M.S. Noe yesterday scheduled Kristina Adkins trial for Nov. 12 to 14.

Adkins faces murder, poisoning, and other charges in the death of her grandmother, 53-year-old Virginia Bentley.

The medical examiner says Bentley died from an allergic drug reaction in her Rollin Township home in August 2006. Adkins is accused of taking morphine sulfate from her grandfather s medication and mixing it in Bentley s medicine.

Defense attorney Michael McFarland says he is awaiting the results of an independent toxicology report in the case.
