The remaining workers at Chrysler LLC s Toledo Jeep Assembly complex will be off-work next week as both the Jeep Wrangler line and the one which assembles the Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro are haulted because of slow sales.

Chrysler spokesman Ed Saenz said that the company had chosen to extend by one week the current one-week shutdown of the Toledo North Assembly plant, where the Liberty and Nitro are built. In addition, the automaker said the Toledo South Assembly plant, which builds the iconic Wrangler will shut down for one week as well.
