Man killed in Henry County traffic crash
11/24/2008LIBERTY CENTER, Ohio A Henry County man was killed early Monday when his car struck a tree off U.S. 24 southeast of this community, authorities said.
The driver, Aaron Ripke, 18, of Henry County s Washington Township, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers at the Ohio Highway Patrol s Bowling Green post.
The crash occurred about 7:40 a.m. west of Henry County Road 4-A in Washington Township, about two miles southeast of Liberty Center.
Mr. Ripke was westbound on U.S. 24 when he drove off the north side of the road. He was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
Liberty Center is about 30 miles southwest of Toledo.
