Local authorities remained on the lookout yesterday for a man who robbed a southwest Toledo bank Saturday afternoon.

Toledo police, Lucas County sheriff s deputies, and FBI agents were called to the Fifth Third Bank branch at 6600 Airport Hwy. at noon after a man described as clean-shaven, white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and between 30 and 40 years old gave a bank teller a note saying he had a weapon and demanded money. No weapon was seen.

People were seen running from the bank shortly afterward, according to reports. Authorities said the unidentified man fled.

He wore a long green coat police said was found later in a nearby garbage bin. Deputies said yesterday no arrests had been made, and the incident remains under investigation.
