BOWLING GREEN City officials are seeking contributions to help struggling householders pay their utility bills.

Bowling Green s Muni-Pal program provides emergency payment aid for utility customers facing service disconnection because of nonpayment.

The program is funded exclusively through donations. It is administered by the Bowling Green Salvation Army office.

In 2007, area residences contributed $6,960 to the Muni-Pal program. That provided assistance to 86 households. For information, call the utilities office at 419-354-6258.
