Findlay library hires director from Tiffin

FINDLAY The director of the Tiffin-Seneca County Public Library has been hired as the new executive director of the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library.

Jeffrey Winkle, who at one time worked as assistant director of the Findlay library, replaces Sybil Galer, who resigned in March after being placed on administrative leave by the board. In an agreement with library trustees, she has been working as a consultant to the library until her planned retirement in September, 2009.

Mr. Winkle, a former bookstore owner in Findlay, was director of the Kaubisch Memorial Public Library in Fostoria before taking the job in Tiffin.

He starts his new job in Findlay Feb. 2.
