Authorities have not identified any suspects in a burglary at American Fence and Supply LLC during which more than $17,000 worth of tools and equipment was stolen.
The chain-link fence surrounding the property at 2401 Consaul St. in East Toledo was cut early Tuesday, police said.
A lock on the storage shed was cut and several items were stolen, including two hydraulic augers, a hammer drill, five chainsaws, two concrete saws, and two cordless drills among other items.
Officers were sent to the fence and supply business about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday after a passerby reported that tools were lined up near a hole in the fence. The tools were gone by the time police arrived about five minutes later, police said.
