PEMBERVILLE, Ohio - The village of Pemberville has lifted its advisory that residents boil water before consuming it.
The Wood County community had planned a waterline repair when three other waterline breaks were discovered, including a major break by the water tower.
"That's very, very uncommon to have that many in one day," Mayor James Opelt said. The boil advisory, issued Thursday, "was just a precaution on our part," he said.
Lab results showed the water is safe, and the advisory was canceled Saturday afternoon.
