Two people were injured in a six-car pileup Tuesday morning on snow-slickened southbound I-75, authorities said.

The victims, whose names and condition were being withheld, were taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, according to the Lucas County EMS.

The chain-reaction crash occurred about 10:50 a.m. on the I-75 overpass at Phillips Avenue, partially blocking southbound traffic on the expressway.

Toledo police kept one lane of southbound traffic open. City crews were using salt later in the morning to make the overpass less slippery.
